Welcome to Connection Reset. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of connectionreset.co (the "Site") and any content, tools, or experiences offered on it. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

What the Site is (and isn't)
Connection Reset offers educational content, interactive demonstrations, and skill-building resources for parents. The Site and everything on it — including the Kai Demo, articles, videos, and written content — is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.
Connection Reset is not therapy, counseling, medical care, psychological treatment, crisis intervention, or professional mental health advice. It is not a substitute for any of those things. If you or your child are in crisis, experiencing mental health symptoms, or facing a situation that requires professional support, please contact a qualified professional or, in an emergency, dial 911 (US) or your local emergency number.
Eligibility
The Site is intended for adults — specifically, parents and caregivers of children and teens. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site. By using the Site, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.
The Kai Demo
The Kai Demo is an interactive educational experience that depicts composite scenarios based on documented patterns in publicly available research on AI companion chatbots. It is not a recording of any real conversation, nor does it depict any specific real child, family, or chatbot service. The demo is designed to help parents understand patterns they may encounter. It is not a diagnostic tool and it does not predict what your child's experience will be.
Use of the Site
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in ways that don't harm Connection Reset or anyone else. Specifically, you agree not to:
- Copy, reproduce, republish, or redistribute any content from the Site without written permission
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to harvest content or data from the Site
- Attempt to interfere with the Site's normal functioning or security
- Use the Site to harass, threaten, or harm anyone
- Misrepresent yourself or your affiliation with Connection Reset
Intellectual property
All content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, videos, demos, frameworks, and the structure of educational materials — is owned by Craig Markham or Connection Reset and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. "Parenting Assistance Dogs" and "PADs" are registered trademarks. You may view and share links to the Site freely. You may not reproduce, adapt, or create derivative works from Site content without written permission.
External links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, research sources, or services. We provide these links because we find them useful or relevant, but we don't control those sites and we're not responsible for their content, policies, or practices. Clicking an external link is at your own discretion.
No guarantees
Parenting is complicated, and every family is different. The educational content offered on the Site is grounded in behavioral science and 25 years of clinical field experience, but we make no guarantees about specific outcomes for your family. What works for one household may not work for another. Your results depend on many factors outside our control, including how you apply what you learn, your child's individual circumstances, and the support you have around you.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Site and everything on it is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Connection Reset disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Connection Reset, Craig Markham, and anyone associated with the Site will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site or reliance on any content it contains. Our total liability for any claim related to the Site is limited to the amount you paid to access the Site in the 12 months before the claim arose, which for free content is zero.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree with an update, stop using the Site.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Iowa.
